Plecto Mobile App

An introduction to the Plecto mobile app for your iOS and Android devices.

Last updated: Oct. 22, 2021

Plecto offers a free mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. The app allows you to look at dashboards and reports, add new registrations, and do much more right from your mobile device.

The iOS app allows you to see your dashboards and reports, add registrations, manage your personal account settings, and more. After the launch of iOS 14, Plecto now allows you to add widgets to your device's home screen. With this new feature, you can easily access your KPIs from the home screen on your iPhone, iPad, and even Apple Watch.

The current version of our iOS app allows displaying the following widgets on the home screen: number box, speedometer, leaderboard, line chart, area chart, pie chart, and column chart.

Adding widgets to the home screen

To add Plecto widgets to your home screen, touch and hold any area on your screen until the apps jiggle. Tap the "+" button in one of the top corners of your screen (depending on your device). Select Plecto from the list, choose one of the three widget sizes, then tap "+ Add Widget."

Plecto on Apple Watch

Note: Currently, Apple Watch is the only smartwatch supported by our mobile app.

Get the Plecto app and see your KPIs on the home screen of your Apple Watch. The Plecto app for your watch needs to be installed along with the app on your phone, as you cannot download Plecto on the watch separately. If both devices are paired, once you have the Plecto app installed on your iPhone, it will automatically show on your Apple Watch.

The app allows you to display a widget of choice on the watch face. If you are an admin in Plecto, you have the option to configure the Apple Watch settings from the Plecto app on your iPhone. Open Plecto, then go to More > Apple Watch settings.

The Plecto app for Android allows you to see your dashboards and reports, add registrations, manage your personal account settings, and more. Just like with iOS, Android devices let you add widgets on your home screen. However, the steps for adding widgets to the home screen may vary depending on the device and manufacturer.

The current version of our Android app allows displaying the following widgets on the home screen: number box, speedometer, and leaderboard.

Adding widgets to the home screen

In general, if you press and hold an empty area on your device's home screen, a "Widgets" button appears at the bottom. Tap the button, and you will be able to select Plecto from the list. Once you've placed a widget on the home screen, you can resize it by dragging the outlined dots. To save the layout, tap outside the widget.
