Introduction to Reports

Create a complete overview of your business and display all your KPIs on a single page with Plecto’s reports.

What are reports?

Reports are alternative to dashboards and slideshows. They are really easy to set up, and they allow you to visualize, combine and export a lot of data through different widgets. You can find reports under Visualization > Reports in Plecto. From there, you can create and manage reports depending on your permissions within your organization.

Be aware: Reports can be created and configured by users with admin access to Plecto. In addition, you need to be subscribed to Plecto’s Large or Enterprise plan to use reports. Go to our Pricing page to learn more.

Widgets in reports

Reports are built on widgets. There are 8 different widgets, and each one is highly customizable to allow you to display parameters based on the specific needs of your organization.
The widgets are the following:

The widgets use the same formulas and data as your dashboards which makes them easy to set up, and they will be automatically updated whenever your data changes.

Report settings

Reports have many settings. You can customize the viewing access of your reports when creating them, or change the access after. Hide reports from the list by enabling viewing access to everyone, admins, or admins plus specific teams.

Once created, you can also edit, export, archive, duplicate, or delete your reports. You can export the reports to Excel or PowerPoint, or even schedule a live export that will automatically generate spreadsheets and presentations to keep you updated about your most important KPIs.

To edit, archive, duplicate, or delete a report, click on the “Edit” button in the upper-right corner of your report, or open the list of your reports under Visualization > Reports, then find the report you want to modify and hover over the “Actions” button on the right.

  • If you duplicate the report, Plecto will instantly open a copy of your report in the same browser tab.
  • If you delete the report, Plecto will ask you to confirm the deletion process, as this action cannot be undone.
  • If you archive the report, Plecto will transfer it to the archive. You can see the list of archived reports in the “Archived reports” tab under Visualization > Reports.
