Slack Notification: Missed Calls in Aircall

A guide on how to create a notification that sends a message in Slack whenever there's a missed call in Aircall.

How does it work?

Are you tracking your Aircall data in Plecto? Get real-time updates in Slack about missed or abandoned calls. Instant notifications enable your team to react quickly and follow up on missed calls if necessary.

Step 1: Create a notification in Plecto

Open Plecto and go to Gamification > Notifications > + New notification.
Name your notification. For example, Customer Service – Aircall Missed Calls.
Choose Send notification based on > A new or updated registration.
Select a data source that stores your Aircall calls.
Click + Add filter and add three filters:
- Number name = [name of the number the customer tried to reach. Example: Support Team]
- Missed call reason != [leave empty]
- Missed call reason != out_of_opening_hours

Enabled from this date: Choose a date and time from when to enable the notification.
Enable for: Select the teams or employees that will trigger the notification.
Choose Send a Slack notification as the notification action.
- Add Slack credentials. If no credentials are available, create new by clicking the + button.
- Enter the channel name in the field Room. Don't use the hash (#).
- Add notification text. For example, ⚠️ 📣 Missed call due to {{ missed_call_reason }} from {{ raw_digits }} ⚠️
  You can add different variables by clicking the ? icon. If you add variables, the notification message will provide details from the data source.
Click Save to finish.

Want to send messages to more than one Slack channel?

If you want Plecto to send the notification to multiple channels in Slack, add one notification action (Send a Slack notification) for each of the channels. Make sure to invite Plecto to each channel afterward (read step 2).

Step 2: Invite Plecto to your Slack channel

Open your Slack workspace.
Find the channel where you want Plecto to send notifications.
Invite Plecto to the channel. To do so, type @plecto in the message field and select Plecto [APP].
Send the message to the channel.
Lastly, click Add to Channel.

You're all set! From now on, Plecto will send you a message in Slack whenever there are missed or abandoned calls in Aircall. Meanwhile, feel free to explore our other notification actions.
