My Notification does not work - why?

This checklist will help you to find out why the notification is not working.

You have set up a notification but it does not work? Don't worry - we've got you covered! There are a couple of things you can easily verify to figure out why the notification does not work:

  • Destination slideshow

Make sure you have sent the notification to a slideshow. Notifications only trigger on slideshows, so please make sure you have selected one from the 'Destination slideshow' drop-down in your notification action menu.

  • Teams/Employees

Make sure you have enabled the notification for the right team(s) or employee(s). If you have enabled the notification for a team, please make sure the employees are assigned to this team.

  • Enabled from date

'Enabled from this date' will use the default date field from your data source. The default date can be configured on integration data sources. If you are using manual data sources, the default date is usually the 'Created date,' meaning the date when the registration was created. Make sure the dates are aligned. Read more here.

  • Log of triggered notifications

You can see a log of triggered notifications to verify if your notification has already been triggered. To view the list, open the notification under 'Gamification' > 'Notifications,' then click on the 'Log of triggered notifications' button at the top-right corner.

  • Test your device's capabilities

Test your TV's capabilities to display Plecto slideshows and dashboards through this link: To run the test, simply open the link in the browser of your TV.
