With our integration to Shortcut, you can import the following data types to Plecto: Epics, Stories. Please visit our Shortcut integration page to see the technical details for the available data types, such as the update frequency, custom field support, and more.

To connect Shortcut to Plecto, you need to log in to your Shortcut account and generate an API token. Then, you need to create a Shortcut data source in Plecto. Here are ten simple steps on how to do it.

Generate an API token in Shortcut

To get your API token, log in to Shortcut. For this step, you can also follow Shortcut's help article.

  1. Click on the top-right, then click on Settings > Your Account > API Tokens.
  2. Enter a token name (for example, "Plecto") and click "Generate Token."
  3. Copy the token.

Now you can move to Plecto to continue the integration process.

Connect to Plecto
  1. Go to Data management > Data sources+ New data source.
  2. Select Shortcut from the integration list.
  3. Insert your API token in the "Access token" field.
  4. You can choose to use the generated credential title or type your own.
  5. Click "Next" to continue.
  6. Click "Authorize" to allow Plecto to access your Shortcut account.
  7. Now you can select the data types you want to import to Plecto. In this step, feel free to adjust the data source title and other parameters in the advanced settings. You can change the data source settings also later on once the data sources are created. Click "Next" to import your data.

You have now connected your Shortcut data to Plecto. Find the list of your data sources in Data management > Data sources, or go to KPI management > Formulas to start building your KPIs.
