Step 1: Get an API key from Copper

To connect your Copper CRM system to Plecto, you need to provide an API key. All Copper admin users can generate API keys in Copper CRM and use them to integrate the data from their accounts with other applications.

To generate an API key from Copper, do the following:

  1. Open Copper and go to Settings > Integrations > API Keys.

  2. Click the Generate API Key button.

  3. Copy the API key. You will have to use it when creating a new Copper CRM data source in Plecto.

  4. Go to Step 2.

Step 2: Connect Copper CRM with Plecto

  1. Go to Data management > Data sources > + New data source > Copper CRM.

  2. (Optional) Rename your credentials.

  3. Enter the email address you use to log in to your Copper CRM account.

  4. Add the API key you generated in Copper.

  5. Click Next to continue.

  6. Select the data you want to import.

  7. Configure your data source settings. Here, you can change the title, choose the default date, select which fields to import, and more.

  8. Click Next to choose how much data to import and how long you want to keep it in the data source.

  9. Click Import to finish.

With our integration to Copper CRM, you can import the following data to Plecto:

  • Activities

  • Leads

  • Opportunities

  • People

  • Tasks
