  • Go to Data management > Data sources and open the data source you would like to export.
  • Click on "Export" in the top-right corner.
  • A window will pop up. Here you can see the total number of registrations, how the data is sorted, and if any filters are applied. To continue the export, click on the "Export" button.

Be aware: If the data source has any filters, they will also apply to the export. If you want to see all your data in the exported file, make sure all fields are visible and that no filters apply before exporting your data source. Plecto currently allows exporting 100 000 rows at a time.

Once you have clicked on "Export," a confirmation message will appear on your screen. Plecto will generate the data source, and you will receive an email with a download link. All exports are sent to the user whose email address is provided in the account settings. To see the email address, click on the username in the bottom-left corner in Plecto.

If you are logged into your Plecto account and have permission to download the exported data source, a file will be saved on your local device once you follow the download link. Only the employee who created the export can download it. Exporting data sources this way is designed to ensure maximum security of your data.
