Automatically Delete Data in Plecto

A guide on automatic data deletion in Plecto.

Plecto can automatically delete registrations in your data sources if they are older than a certain period of time. Automatic deletion is not a default setting and needs to be activated by our Support team. Contact our Support team, and they will enable this feature for you.

Data retention needs to be specified in months. For example, if you request to set up data retention for 12 months, all registrations older than that will automatically be permanently deleted.

Once the Support team configures the automatic deletion, you can view the data retention period of a data source in the data source settings.

  • Go to Data management > Data sources, find the configured data source and click on "Settings."
  • In the settings, you will see an info icon next to the data source name.
  • Hover over the info icon, and it will show the retention period of the chosen data source.
